Collaborative Research Projects and Networks

The mission of IMpACT is to perform and promote high quality research in ADHD across the lifespan. This research is aimed at identifying novel genetic variants for adult ADHD and at understanding the mechanisms underlying the effect of these genetic variants on disease risk an comorbidity. 

European Network  to support the development of experimental medicine methods in depression, anxiety and cognition proposed by the academic members of the network. Synopses and final protocols will be developed in collaboration with colleagues from pharmaceutical companies.

The goal of this collaboration is to facilitate high-quality, well-powered analysis of lithium treatment response data in bipolar disorder.

Pan-European network to foster clinical, experimental and translational research in bipolar disorders, also by formation of international research consortia.

Network of European experts within the field of digital health with the goal of establishing a collaborating network and platform to work across nations to continuously produce, update and spread state-of-the-art guidelines for future studies and clinical practice within the field of digital health applied to clinical research

Pan-European network to investigate the molecular underpinnings of treatment response to pharmacological treatments in treatment trials and cell-based studies of major psychiatric disorders including major depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Worldwide  Consortium to understand brain structure, function, and disease, based on brain imaging and genetic data. 

Global network of specialized centres to conduct excellent and innovative research, focusing on affective disorders with particular emphasis on lithium medication.

International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) Task Force “Role of Lithium in Bipolar Disorders” to provide input to clinicians on the evidence base, the role, and the best use of lithium in patients with bipolar disorders

Epidemiological Study: German National Cohort incl. mental and neurological diseases; MRT, neuropsychology, sociodemographic variables.

Worldwide Meta- and mega-analyses of GWAS in e.g. ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD and ECT response (GenECT-it).

University partnership between TU Dresden and King's College London (KCL), including the Centre for Affective Disorders at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) to foster transnational research activities.
